  • Re: Beomaster 5000 and Masterlink

I don't think the BM5000 could have different options set. I think the only way to do wjhat you want is to get the IR code converter like the one I brought to King Street. The 5000 does not have an Audio Aux connection, just the CD/Aux and I don't think this has the capability of the later systems. I don't have a 5000 here to test this though

The speaker outputs are perfectly safe and are designed to be used for just this purpose. If most of your music is stored digitally, I would use an input on the TV and work your iPod using an Apple dock and remote. The 3200 hard drive is not that great in my opinion - not able to store that much music and not at lossless either. It is also a complete

  • Re: Q: picoFarad: Beogram 5651 w/ MMC5 pick-up connected to a TerraTec iVinyl PhonePreAmp

430pF should be the right level. I have been searching for one of my spec sheets but have only found my SoundSmith one so far!! But all B&O cartridges have the same requirements! Take it all back! Just found my MMC20CL box with data sheet and it suggests 220pF!

Or Lifestyle who will probably be cheaper. There are a number of B&O re-sellers and some of the more established ones have cables available to order Sounds heavenly are another source. I take it you are using Beolab 2500 speakers. I would strongly recommend thinking about upgrading to a pair of Beolab 4000s which are not a lot bigger and will change

  • Re: Beoplayer use with I-Tunes

Pretty sure that Beoplayer does not recognise the file system used by iTunes Store, even for iTunes Plus. All is not lost though! You can convert the tunes to MP3 in iTunes and they will then be recognised. I would however suggest that if you plan to do this a lot, use a different source - Amazon for instance - as converting one type of compressed file

Welcome to Beoworld! I'll try to answer the questions in order. 1. The 6000s can be attached to any VARIABLE line out - in other words a pre-amplifier output so that you still have volume control. The amplifier in the Beolab 6000 simply amplifies the input and if you feed it normal line out such as that fed to a tape machine etc, you will get very

  • Re: Pro's and Con's of the Beomaster 6000 Quad

I have had all off these and the 6000 is very beautiful! However it is essentially two beefed up Beomaster 901s in electrical design and is fair packed into the case. It has a perspex top instead of glass which is prone to scratching, the keys tend to bend upwards and become shiny, the transistors blow with disturbing regularity - some of this is due

  • Re: Will there be a prize draw in 2009...

I agree that these have little inherent value in the market but they are superb systems. Beautifully made and sound rather useful too!

Don't do it!! I have a full 2400 system down at Eastbourne - a real classic.
