The SP.. numbers are the type numbers. You will find it printed on the underside of the headshell along with the B&O logo. Having said taht, there are cartridges/needles/headshells out there from parallel producers that has no logo and often no type numbers either. Martin

Are you sure that you got a belt of the correct size ? Some of the belts are of odd sizes and some more critical than others. It's also possible that the new belt was mounted the wrong way around the pulleys and wheels, that can happen very easily on these models where the correct path is not very obvious. I suppose you are using a tape for testing
