To be fair, one would normally take action against the supplying dealer rather than the producer as taking action against a foreign company would be more difficult. However like shadow, I would expect your dealer simply to offer a full refund in this situation. I am sure that the dealers are letting B&O know that they are not happy!

Just looked and my bought copy was £13.97 as well - though I was charged postage as well! It does of course mean that I have a spare copy so will have to work out something to decide who gets it.

I wonder if an Airport Express attached to the Avant (either via a Scart or the close up panel) would be an answer. The iPod Touch would be the remote and you would need to select something like V.Aux to turn it on.

I'd ask Steve if he has one ! His company does a good line in cables.
-
He says the differences are marked! I think the addition is probably related to stability in a multi-room system.

Have you got the manual? It suggests attaching the S-Video cable and the Dig Out to the Co-axial of the BS1. As said before, I don't feel I am the best person to fully advise you as I am in the UK and have no hands on experience of US systems. Your dealer should really do this for you - I imagine that they have something similar to the UK Product

Hi Ed, Sorry to hear about the BS2. I have had a BS2 and a variety of iPods. The BS2 sounds impressive as it has a built in loudness function but I actually prefer some control so use an iPod Classic 160Gb for most of my listening. I have an iPhone and iPod Touch and agree these don;t sound quite the same but are not bad and have just bought Eleanor

You need to connect the CTRL socket on the BS1 to the CTRL socket on the BC2 as well as the RCA cables for the sound and vision. Have a look at the BC2 socket manual for details. Available on site here and at B&O.

Unfortunately not that simple!! The US Beosystem 1 does not have a SCART socket!! I suggest component RCA for the best picture and register it as a DVD1 if you can. I think you will be better advised by another US member though as I have no personal knowledge of this type of set up.

Does anyone live near Derby and be willing to pick something up for me! It is something really for the site but is for personal pick up only. I can come and collect at a later date.
