Agreed. It's such a shame that B&O has decided not to update the BeoCenter 2 with blu-ray. It's such a nice design.

Does anyone know which TVs currently on the market are compatible with the BeoSystem 1? My understanding is that it's not enough for a screen to merely have a PC input but that the PC input must also support H & V sync. Is that the case? Walking into Best Buy and trying to explain this to the salespeople only results in a blank stare of confusion

After a year of MOTS generating random holiday music when it's not wanted, we now encounter just the opposite problem: There is still no way to have the BS5 play ONLY holiday music when we want it. It seems that it would have been so simple and logical for B&O to add a "genre" category on the interface. In fact, there seem to be spaces

Anyone else with similar experiences with this?

I just added the Gefen 1x4 splitter to my BS3 and it works perfectly. The BS3 sends the codes to the Gefen splitter to change to the appropriate HDMI input for C1, C2, C3, or C4. As the Gefen splitter is HDMI 1.3, I don't see how it is outdated in any way. Regardless, the BS3 is not even HDMI 1.3.

I have a Beosystem 3 with a 7.1 speaker setup. When playing 5.1 sound via PCM from the PS3, sound comes out of the left and right surround speakers instead of the rear speakers. It even does this when playing a DVD as well as Blu-Ray. 5.1 through all other sources (BeoCenter 2 DVD, cable box, etc.) uses the rear speakers instead of the left and right

If you notice the restrictions on the back of the card, B&O was very careful this time to exclude all of the low-dollar items.

I think that whenever we're dealing with lossless music, we have to maintain two libraries regardless. Most people would not want to load their ipods with lossless music. Perhaps some might. While not an ideal solution, Apple has addressed the similar problem with video by throwing in an extra standard def version of any high def video downloads

I really like the shiny silver on the far left. Yet, I'm worried about how badly finger prints will show.
