Hi: I am looking to connect my desktop PC with composite out to my Beovision 1. The last time I connected the same PC to my old Avant the resolution was not good enough for me to read icons or text of any kind but was perfect for watching films. I am thinking (perhaps naively) that as my Beovision 1 is much newer (2004) that it might be more capable

Hi: Can anyone give me details concerning these (the ones that can be used to switch b&o equipment on and off). I would like to buy one to turn my Avant and Beovision 1 and subsequent B&O equipment on and off. Are these things readily available - could I get one from a dealer? Are they plasticy and thus do they break easily, or are they good

I just hope b&o have not partnered with Amstrad to make it or that if they have, that it doesn't "subtley" say: Beostrad or B&O Amstrad on the case!

Hi: Thanks - mild detergent = fairy liquid? Thanks Graham

Hi: I know that there is a section of the site dedicated to this. However, I am reluctant to do anything without asking anyone as the "be careful if you have anti-reflective coating" statement (not verbatim) concerns me. I have several "snotty" marks on the glass of the TV and want to clean them off. I was thinking of using alcohol

I have found ITV.com's catchup service. ITV is dire. However, Jeremy Kyle et al beats listening to conversations about shopping and handbags. I cannot watch it, but can listen to it through headphones. Hmm what to listen to next - Bore-a-nation-Street?

Hi: Thanks, the Beovision 1 is used as my bedroom TV and the Avant is used for movie watching. I do watch a fair amount of anime - Street Fighter and more "pure" anime. However, the majority of things watched on both sets are Freeview broadcasts so I am not going to buy a new plasma if there is no real need. I am considering getting a newer

Hi: I don't know how true this is. However, I have heard that some of the early locks you could "fool" by getting a print of the correct finger put onto a piece of sticky tape. Perhaps not the most secure system at the moment? Like I said tihs could be rubbish.

Hi: Could someone expain to me, if I have decent CRT televisions namely an old Avant and a newsih Beovision 1, should I really consider getting a cheap panel TV - bottom range Pioneer plasma and Blu-Ray for films (PS3)? Or is the difference in quality tenuous?

So: We should all go out and buy loads of Avants, keep them in storage and sell them on in about ten years or so? That sounds like a good way to make money. Alternatively, setup our own tube manufacturing plant. Thanks Graham
