Thank you for your insight. It's the first time for me with surround. The AV9000 is just the newest B&O I have and it was cheap to buy. Service expensive but now really great. I don't mind the VHS and use it as I still have a big box of tapes. The VHS player works great and picture is good enough to enjoy a movie. As for upgrades I mean

As I'm a happy owner of a recently serviced '98 IT version I am wondering about the surround setup that was invented for the AV9000 series. As the AV9000 is dated with Dolby pro logic I , 4:3 and vhs these days what would you recommend to do surround? Is it worth it going for Beolab 6000 and 8000 or maybe some of the newer Beolabs? Does it respond to option changes? Try setting it to 0 and then 1 or 2 again.

Just like the one on the left on the above picture. The CX's are ment to hang in the hook. That's how the manual says anyway.

Well to me any B&O unit that can be controlled with a remote must at least have one otherwise its incomplete. The beosystem 6500 came with the Beo4 MKII. That does not control all of it so I got the Master Control Panel which is cool but I don't use it much and it stays on top of the system. For everyday use I only need the Beo4MKII.

Let's see. 2 2035 terminals for my 2 Beomaster 6000. 1 Beolab Termial for Beomaster 8000 1 Beolink 1000 MKIII 1 Beo4 Mk2 1 Master Control Panel 6500 It depends of what system I use but it's a bit to much?

Well first of all any Beovox or Beolab that can handle the output of a Beomaster 6500 will do the job just fine. Since I got my Beosystem 6500 some 4 months ago I've been using Beovox S80.2 and Beovox CX100 as linkroom speakers.
