The screws from the earlier BL1000 have a finer pitch than those of the later ones ... has caught me out a few times ... not sure I understand the reason for the change! Neil

Hi, Its possible its suffered some water ingress ... in most cases, replacement of the flexi circuit that the rubber buttons touches will restore it to working order. They can be ordered from your local dealer. Neil

Hi Dan, If you are feeling brave, you can order the chip and do the upgrade yourself ... even as a first time, you should be able to do this in about 30 mins. Dealer likely to charge you an arm and leg to do this. Where are you based? Neil
