  • Re: MCP 5500

Not to my knowledge. I find them to be big battery drainers as designed.

  • Re: Beosound 4000

The first thing you need to know is that the 4000 is the same thing as an Ouverture. It's called Ouverture in Europe and 4000 in the rest of the world. It's the successor to the 2500 and offers Masterlink connectivity plus an improved CD mechanism. It lacks 2-way remote capability, which the 2500 had, but only certain remote controls such as

  • Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?

'Deserter's Songs' by Mercury Rev. Not sure what instrument they're playing on track 1 - 'Holes'. Zither? Saw? Mellotron? Unworldly..

  • Re: I'd like to restore my BeoCenter 7000

B&O maintains spare parts for quite some time but not 25-30 years. Your best bet is probably to buy a parts unit on eBay. Take what you need and resell it. Also call your local service center - sometimes they have parts. Good luck.

  • Re: Beo Sound 9000 connectivity

Type 2571 is a Mk III. There should be no red power button on the outside of your unit. I see no reason why you can't use your BS 9000 with your Pentas. Obviously you'll need a step-up voltage converter or internal modification first.

  • Re: BS9000 Spins up and goes into Pause

A14BEO: I don't mean to sound rude, but are you sure that you have correctly aligned the CD mechanism? It might be worth clicking through a few more calibrations to see if that makes a difference! Just noticed this post and it's true. My Mk II BS 9000 was making scraping noises when playing CD's (but it did play them without going into 'pause'

  • Re: Beolab 6000 comments

I enjoy mine as well, tho I doubt I would if I played a lot of hard rock. They don't reproduce low bass well and if you need proof just play a Test CD or LP through them. I've never auditioned them next to a pair of BL 8000's but if you look at the specs there's not much difference: Frequency Range: 55 - 20,000 Hz (6000) 52 - 20,000

  • Re: service person for b&o turntable

beoperson: I can recommend atlantic-systems they are absolutely best. I live in NYC and often use them. There is technitron who is officially recommended in NYC area by B&O but I prefer Atlantic System even if I have to pay extra for shipping you are going to save overall. I'll second that opinion.

  • Re: B&O 10CD Multichanger - Not on the Product List :-(

It's marvelous. Those (like me) who think the Beosystems 6500 and 7000 were the ultimate B&O products but wish they had the CD changing capabilitiy of the BS 9000, well, here's the solution.

  • Re: The B & O product/object that made you fall for them?

Around 10 years ago I wanted a high quality, compact component system that played multiple music formats (e.g. vinyl, CD, etc.). Hello Beosystem 5000. Still have it. Still love it.
