  • Re: Worth keeping BS4 with BS5

Do you still buy CDs? Do you still listen to FM (or AM) radio? Do you have kids? Can you get a decent price for the BS4? Is space at a premium? I have kept my BS9000 with my BS5. I still buy a CD from time to time and the immediate gratification side of me likes to pop it into the CD player without waiting to burn it. I also listen to the radio from

  • Re: bno should concentrate on apple users not windows ; here's the proof : 90% high end marketshare

I've said this before on the these threads and I'll say it again... show me one company that Apple plays nice with other than Apple. iPod docks do not count since I think we're all wanting superior integration with Mac computers vs. iPods. Are there any known products that contain embedded Macs (like BM5's embedded PC)? Apple "owns"

  • Re: BeoSound 5, BeoMaster, BeoSound 9000

There is no N.AUDIO. Just N.Radio and N.Music. Since the BS5 is set to NO AUDIOMASTER, the volume is only controlled via the BS9000. I have this same setup. Moving the volume wheel does not change the blue circle. This is "as designed". To me, the seems like a master link problem - either a problem with the cable or one of the connection.

  • Re: Beolink Active - PC Input

If your Beoport is near the TV, you could run the audio from the TV through a splitter into the Beoport (so both the computer's audio and TV's audio go into the Beoport). Then, to listen to the TV, you select N.Music, and stop iTunes. I do this with my turntable... it's kind of a pain, but does do the job. Stan

  • Re: Double use for link room speakers?

To my knowledge, there's no PC input port on the BL Passive so, no, this is only an option with the Active. With respect to documentation, I believe, the port was added to the Active to support the BeoLink PC (the forerunner of the BeoLink PC2/BeoPort). I think the manual may be on this site. IIRC, in typical B&O fashion, it doesn't say

The part number for the cable that connects from an audio source to the "PC input" port on the newer BL active is 0898126 Stan
