  • Re: BL5 or BL9 ? That's the question.

Hi Soundproof, I was just joking regarding your plan to position the BL6000s - of course, everyone is free to do what they want. I also agree with your V8 allegory etc., ie having 2 BL5 plus some other BL is just fine for movie experience. Personally, I would now only consider having more BL5 if I a had huge and carefully laid out living room in which

soundproof: In my own home theatre I plan to use BL6000s as side and rear speakers, mounted up on the wall and lying horizontally, with the "bottom" of the speakers pointing into the rear corners... I think you should (or perhaps shouldn't) consult D. Lewis on this one...

  • Re: Why not Gold?

I was a bit hasitating with this one, but here it goes, Lee: (quoting my PM from some time ago) Hi Lee, The forum links related to troubles getting more people to sign in as gold members led me to check my bank account ... I registered as a gold member and, frankly, it's neither the prices or the manuals (leave the latter to dealers given my tech

  • Re: BeoLab 6000 as rears sufficient?

Yann, I'm a simple guy so can't go so much into the specs, just judging by my ears and eyes. To me it seems, that (both in SPEAKER 3 and 5 mode - with relevant material) it doesn't sound as the BL5s "take over" at all. At the sametime I have no doubt that your ears are equally truthworthy as mine, which made me think if it might

soundproof: philipsmz333: Oh, the BeoVision 5 as a centre speaker not good enough for the BeoLab 5's? Oh well. I'm going to say, because this TV is SO BEAUTIFUL, I will put up with it, i don't care too much for movies anyhow, other wise i would have blown the $35000 on a BeoVision 9! Hmmm - I haven't heard the BV5 together with the BL5s

  • Re: Serene...is it worth £800???

If it's worth £800 (or any other price) I would leave to everyone to decide for themselves... I like the phone for reasons many here already listed, but (somewhat sadly) accepted/expected that very soon I would be looking at the message that goes something like this, eg: "Sorry, but your phone doesn't support video streaming"

  • Re: BS 3

No! Not "slated", at all Different products, for better or worse, just address different needs - BS3 incl. As a matter of fact one of the main reasons I bought it for was holidays (see different thread): saf: ... and - slightly against my expectations - it seems not to cause any questions after they scanned your hand luggage at airports. So

  • Re: BS 3

Fair enough, but having a couple of kids - and/or friends - around you aren't really going to listen to your BS2. Taking a stack of your favourite CDs with you when on holidays might be less practical than a few SD cards, leaving the size of the BS's in question aside. The design, of course, is a personal matter.

  • Re: BS 3

tom: would not take a bs3 to the beach! holes in the cover of bs3 + sand = problems (Now I'm a married man, but...) a combination of your tanned skin, fashionable sunglasses and bathing pants, adding a long drink and, of course, BS3 casually placed on the little table beside your sunchair playing at an undisturbing yet slightly intriguing volume
