Many thanks for this Lee - I guess all told including travelling it must have taken up pretty much a whole day of your time, if not more.... "we must simply make the product worth the price being asked"..... glad he think's it's simple! Seriously, I just don't think that it can be done in the short-term with regards to TVs. Thanks

Many thanks Peter - Belt (supplied by Martin) now on! That's one heavy platter! Also awsome design / biuld quality! Cheers Nigel
-
Can anyone help me achieve the above? I want to change the belt - I've looked at the service manual but I still can't see how to do it....... Cheers Nigel
-
If only there was a company / individual who could do this! But I guess the cost would be prohibitive. I simply don't have the time (or the patience) to be able to do it! Cheers Nigel

To get the thread back on track (Don't take that the wrong way, Penelope ) I don't really collect B&O, it just passes through my hands I use a BM6500 with a BG6500 CD + CX100 + Cona in my bedroom and that's about it! I love this system & much prefer the polished alu look of the 6500 and 7000 systems to the matt alu look of the 5500

I will be selling one (not Penelope's!) myself on ebay shortly - It's also in lovely condition, just been serviced and new belts fitted, sounds sublime. I'll be dissapointed if it doesn't fetch the said sum. Cheers Nigel

Hi Penelope Welcome to Beoworld! Yes, your Beogram is certainly worth something! Re the value, condition is everything and the condition of the stylus is also important. One sold on ebay recently for £155 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=180274856332&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=008 Cheers Nigel

Hi All I have sent numerous items abroad including lots of turntables without any problems I work in logistics and have a couple of observations............. The packaging B&O use is designed to ship items neatly stacked and shrinkwrapped on pallets. Those pallets are then moved with forklift trucks.Once the pallets arrive at a distribution depot

Hi Lee Did nothing come of the Audi Sponsership idea? Cheers Nigel
