Even without the date, the quotes are obviously a joke too.

Frank Rizzo: Hi Austin...just a question.... What do you think of the bass of the yamaha's vs. CX100's...??? thanks... k Hey Keith, I don't remember much about the bass in particular. When I say a notch below the cx100's, I'd say it's in all aspects - clarity, range, bass. I haven't really heard quality outdoor speakers though
-
No Bose, no Bose They've gotten way way over-hyped and they're now selling mediocre speakers for high prices. I have a pair of the yamaha ones Rizzo posted, well the older version of them at least. They're not bad for outdoor speakers - I'd rate them a notch below cx100's.
-
Hopefully I'll be able to answer questions like this when I actually pick up my pair this coming Friday, as I've never even seen them in person. But for the 2nd speaker with the continual red light, have you checked the fuse?

Somebody tell me next time when something like this starts up. I missed all the fun before the thread got cleaned up

Keith as Tony said the tacky glue or whatever Myrko (goodhifi) gives you should only take about an hour to dry. I'd still wait at least half a day before doing the outer portion though, just to be safe. Take a look at Andy's thread. Also, if you google something like "speaker refoaming" you'll find some good photo tutorials online

If I squint and shake my head back and forth really fast your setup looks great
-
Hey Keith, as I mentioned you'll be fine using just tacky glue from a craft store too. As far as putting weight on the rings, I don't. Instead after I glue them, I wait about a minute, then lightly go around pressing down with my finger tips, then wait another minute and start pressing down again, over a total of about 5 min. I wouldn't

Come on guys I already said I was wrong, stop rubbing it in

Haven't tried any, but heard good things about the MyVu. I remember seeing a site that compared about 10 different ones together, and they thought the MyVu was one of the better ones even though it was one of the cheaper ones. It's not supposed to be like a 50" screen though. I think it's supposed to be more like a 30".
