I've even learnt that you need to open & close the CD door to reset the track counter from you However, anyone calling themselves a service agent should possess some common sense and interest in repairing things

The service manual is only good to understand how to open the unit up correctly. It won't warn you that the glass panels might fall out due to aged glue and it won't show you how to repair the sliding door mechs. It will show you the correct way the cords should be assembled but having had to restring both doors I can confirm that the drawings

I'm guessing in this instance the seller put it up for UK only and if anyone outside of the UK wanted to bid the seller has to approve the bid. Sniping will be no good if this is the case. They didn't prevent sniping but late bids won't really work for non uk residents.

Good luck! If it hasn't already been shipped to you I would ask the seller to tape down the two glass strips to the unit as they can become loose and break. I had trouble with a sliding door becoming dislodged during shipping but that was repairable however the glass strips are becoming increasingly rare these days. Steve
