For about 6 months I played my 5500 system through my Avant and was not dissapointed... not the same bass as my M100's but still plenty of ooompf. I wonder if B&O should add that to their list

Justin: There's something about living with something as well, eventually you don't miss the difference as you get used to a lower quality - until you hear it properly!! Good point. With the number of ipods etc around, with the emphasis on how many tracks you can cram into it I think we'll need to start a Real Music campaign soon! Or should

The black dots are for the IR control of your audio / AV volumes.

Sorry he's right. B&O produce products for their own market first and foremost. If the earset happens to work well with another make of phone all to the good. Unless they say it will work with phone a b or c you can't expect it to work.

Interesting point about headphones.... I think Lee was testing some and noticed immediately the difference which he hadn't noticed on his laptop for instance.

NOT a poll but thought I'd ask the question anyway. I'm basicaly asking why are we buying expensive equipment with superb sound and then playing poor quality sources through them? Can you tell a difference? Is it just convenience? Do you for instance put a CD or record on when you want to listen to music properly? Feel free to ask other questions

Maybe that is just not what B&O are about. The fact that the BL5's appeal to the audiophile market is I think a mute point to them. If I understood the discussion correctly the reason the BL5 came into existance was to do with B&O wanting to allow us to have our fully integrated AV system in any average home with sofas bookcases etc and

Just tried that phone connected and tried scolling but mine just keeps flashing... I find it quite usefull stumbling about in the dark
