If the Austerity measures have an impact on the middle class like they are locally to me, and thus affect a significant percentage of sales, could B&O not try and make trading in more appealing. As an example I see plenty of Beovision 5's for sale but even though they look fantastic the lack of HD would put alot of people off buying one second

Has anyone traded in a Mk1/2 panel for a 4 from a dealer and what sort of costs are involved. Hope this makes sense.

We all love B&O, but just saying everything is fine will do nobody and good especially B&O. As for it being a question of money, compared to some of my Linn gear, B&O is quite budget. "A fool and his money are easily parted" as the saying goes ! The Beosound 8. The best, and well worth £900 My 6 year old 28 inch RF Avant

A £2,000 Beovision 8-26 with an LCD panel from Sharp!, put together in the Czech Republic!, or a £1,200 LED LCD Samsung 200Hz with 3D. ummmm I will shortly be needing a bigger TV and am still racking my brains as to what to get. I hope it is a complete overhaul. The idea of having the "sound pit" i get, and i see Sony have now introduced a stand that focuses the sound from the bottom in a similar manner. The BV 8-40 looks like something from a decade ago with its bulky boxy looks. Just because its the "budget" tv does not mean it need be ugly. This, like

Thanks everyone. As said i would prefer a full HD tv so i guess the 8 is really the only choice. I am struggling to convince the wife who doesn't think it looks like a B&O tv should, especially at £3,000 ie special. Why shouldn't i buy the the Samsung at £1,000?. I have a good sound system already! I am normally loyal to a brand

Hi there I'm about to move into a new house shortly, so being a bloke the first bit of furniture that is coming off our meager furniture fund is of course, the TV :-))) Question. If you had about £3,000 and you wanted a second hand B&O tv with HD what would you have? I have seen a few 8's with its 40inc full HD 100hz screen and yes
