I think that the issue here is not about the existence of the "other sub-forums" but rather about the "stale" nature of the general forum at the moment. My experience is that the general forum "comes and goes" in the density of interesting posts for the genral participant. Right now there is precious little to discuss as

I have found the ATV/BV8/BL3 combo to be more than aequate from both a convenience perspective and from a sound quality perspective. Perhaps my ears have gotten too old but I do not detect a significant difference between the ATV/BV8/BL3/Beo4 (at our second home) and the same source file played through my BC2 and BL9s (at the primary residence), with

Soundproof, Not that I do not appreciate Apple's design-centric product offerings, but I put many B&O products in a very different design category and ethos. In the picture that you have posted there is a clear distinction betwen the Apple products and the B&O ones. This difference is substantial (at least to a designer) and involves the

Simon, You are not alone. There are many of us on this forum who are as enthusiastic about B&O today as you are. Some of us have expressed what you have here and have been "blasted" by the negative element... so a mature response is to back off and just use the site as a means to understanding past, current, and future products better

"Unlike many countries, most American's eschew luxury, erudition, and any aspiration beyond football quarter-back, so most luxury brands have a difficult time gaining a footprint in the US comparable to their per capita market share in EU." Trip, I like your synopsis..... the front line is the best place to observe and this is spot on

" Further, with the constant daily, weekly and monthly repeats of all the content, I’m not sure why anyone needs to record anything." 10%, I use the recording facility (in my case Tivo) to record content for plyback when I want to watch, not according to a schedule. I can no longer watch live TV. Given the recorded, commercial-free alternative
While I agree with Simon & Affineur that Bang & Olufsen is simply a better product for Our Audience, I give tremendous credit to Loewe for making a product with character. I continue to argue that raw numbers are objectively irrelevant and that the true audience for performance specs is smaller even than
I am reading people's comments with much interest. I can't help but wonder what proprotion of B&O customers the BeoWorld forum makes up, as I can't believe that so few people (so it seems) share my views. Of course I can't and don't expect everyone to agree with some of the points I make
Is it supposed to imply that Loewes need constant adjustment? Maybe I'm not getting it.
The way I interpreted the message is that, since at the beginning you do not know that the view is of a televison panel, you are in a concert hall having a great audio/visual experience. Then the singers are being

Thanks Karel. I watched it via Apple TV on a BV8 connected to BL3s.... great commercial and very transporatable across countries and cultures. The last time Loewe was in the US (about 6-7 years ago) their television designs definitely stood out as superior to the design-challenged Sonys, etc. They still do. The price was always an issue with US consumers
