Jandyt: Sounds great! Can you just clarify, is that £500 off the purchase of a new TV? Andy T. One would assume so unless they have completely lost thier danish marbles.. However, it's not such a daft move, as I suspect the average purchaser of a new bno tv is, stastically, unlikley to have a 15 year old crt lying about the place. And those

Many thanks Keith for the comprehensive information. I've decided on a Mk2. I think. Mainly the handsfree which swings it for me. Dan

Am I missing something here...... As far as I can tell the Mk1 and Mk 2 versions are the same, apart from the current version you can add up to 8 rather than 6 handsets, and the current version you need to buy a separate PSTN box (another piece of kit to try to hide away), whereas with the Mk1 version the PSTN is neadly encapsulated in to the pyramid

If so, I' guess I'll be looking at a pair of beocom 6000's (don't like the look of the beocom 2, maybe I'm wrong but the shape

Fear not, I suspect it will be some considerable time before CD's are obsolete, despite the endless plethora of "alternatives"

Thanks for that, most useful. And yes, that was the phone I was talking about. Dan

I'd like to get a beocom 6000. Seen one on ebay with a beotalk 1100 but will this work as it is? I've seen somewhere something about a separate pstn (?) box. What exactly is that and do I need one? And another thing. Is the beocom 6000 sound quality noticeably better than say a modern cordless BT / phillips etc phone? Thanks Confused from Colchester
