Thank you Martin, much appreciated, will give it a go now.

For the life of me I can't figure out how to remove the lid of my Beocord 3500. The instructions for the service technicians underneath look like the hinges need to be pushed in to come off but i don't want to be too heavy handed. I've got the touch panel off but don't want to break the lid trying. The lid is raised but can't see

Thanks for that -looks great. What type of paint stripper did you use and did you do it without taking the lid off or did you strip the system down? If i could get that end result i'd be very happy.....

Hi all - i'm in the process of renovating a Beosystem and i've been informed that i can strip the grey paint off my beomaster and beocord 3500 to match my beogram 4500. There was a post by a forum member (A2bur) but its on the old forum - could anyone access it for me or point me in the right direction. I heard it involved Nitromors stripper
-
I missed these as i forgot to bid before going to work - my max was £500 as well as i emailed the chap and he said they were pretty mint. Gutted! That was cheap for Penta 3's. Prices definitely dropping like stones at the moment so some good bargains to be had in the near future.
-
Thats interesting as on closer inspection the 4500 panel is pretty good (8/10) so i wouldn't mind having a go at trying to get the others back to the polished finish.... Nitromors is a pain to source where i am - would cellulose stripper do the job? A user called A2bur put a thread on this on the old forum - anyone point me in the right direction

Fantastic - thanks gents, look forward to a little restoration project....

Hi all - I've acquired over time a Beocord 3500, a Beomaster 3500 and recently a Beogram 4500 CD. Will the 4500 seemlessly go into the setup. The tops are pretty tired on all so i'm thinking a restoration project and possibly a chrome finish for all or paint all the tops gloss white like i've seen on a thread on here and it looked fantastic

I could live with most colours but the green is my least favourite. Blue looks nice, red a bit over powering and gold is liveable with in the right surroundings..... Black and Alu are the best by far.

Definitely black frets! Just worried about breaking them as i'm not the handiest with a screwdriver!
