Hi all, Is the BeoGram 8000 series Datalink-compatible with the BeoCenter 9000? -Tim

Thanks! That's great - those are the ones I've been looking out for. I just (today) bought a BG5000 with an MMC2 - I'm hoping the cartridge is in decent shape as I just spend a chunk of change on a cartridge for my BG4002. Tim

Thanks - I just got done fine-tuning the tonearm and replacing the belts and cartridge. It was working absolutely fantastic until this new problem. The concern I have now is trying to get to the lamp without taking apart more than necessary. Tim

Thanks - that's what I was hoping for. Will the Beogram 5000 work as well?

Can I operate a BeoGram 5005 through my BeoCenter 9000 with the BeoLink 1000? I'm looking for a compatible turntable with remote capability through the BL1000. Any suggestions? Thanks, Tim

4002 type 5503 The light I am referring to is part# 3164196 - housing with lamp, that is under the diaphragm. Is this something that burns out?

Hello, I was just listening to a record when I heard it skipping - checking it out I realized the tonearm wasn't progressing forward. Further investigation proved that the shutter light is not on. I don't know if it's burned out or if there is another problem. Any ideas where to start? Tim

I haven't tackled the problem yet. The system belongs to a friend, and he realized his MMC4 is sounding rather dull, so I've loaned him another turntable for now. I've download the service manual and we plan to open it up and make adjustments/change the belt, etc., when he's ready to buy a new cartridge. So I think we're headed in

Thanks for the information - the offer I made on the 9000 was accepted, so I'm looking forward to getting all this in place and singing!
