You are in the territory of diminishing returns, it's very difficult to make rational decisions about such things. I think you are bang-on the money with your comments, and I recommend you try holding that demo for a week. If it's so great - the saleman will obviously think so - they will be more than happy to give you a chance to live with

B&O rarely leads the field in sheer performance. You pay a premium for design, ergonomics, and to a lesser degree, quality of materials, build and service. Oh, and let's not forget exclusivity.. . That TV is not something I would buy, but what is your criteria?
