The diagram suggests that the Beocom5 will NOT attach to the original Beocom base. Is this true? My B&O shop told me it is OK but will only work with the same features as my original Beocoms.

Yes - I have noticed this for the last few months on Sky - especially Channel 5 (eg CSI Miami). I assumed it was a Sky issue.
