Well, I've held off from making any comments about the BS5 after the official unveiling until I was able to poke around a bit more to make sure I wasn't missing anything. My feeling now is that what we've seen so far is only part of a product. There likely will be some software tweaks before final release, but I don't think that some

My dealer was excited about the BS5/BM5 as well and ventured a guess at pricing to be about ~$6K. I'm in agreement though that we'll have to see how it works in practice, especially the BS5 before making a final judgement. With so much hype and anticipation though, the bar is pretty high. He did also say that he saw the BeoLab 3 and 2 in white

The details given in the posted document to me offer up some insight that is both very good and very bad. Now, what we don't have are more details like this on the operation of the BS5, but what I'm seeing here gives a lot of information in a few short pages: - Transfer of content from iTunes is not synchronized, it is simple drag and drop.

timhanna: so... doesnt this beg a question... Isnt it like another beomedia 1?? If we can use the TV, then TECHINCALLY, we wont need the BS5 right? It would appear that way. The BS5 would be used mostly for other zones away from the BM5. What it does seem to indicate though is that if you want to use a BS5, you must have a BM5 as the BS5 will communicate

seanklemis: does the device display things on the tv screen as i was told it does not and photo's will be rubbish on a small tft??? According to what I see above, the BM5 will connect to a TV and photos can be viewed on the TV. Interestingly, it looks like you can also transfer web bookmarks and surf to those websites on your TV via the BM5. Jeff

Ignace: wtlc2zpx: Ignace: Hi, i only know a few things about BeoSound 5 / BeoMaster 5 regarding transferring music. The BeoConnect software can be used (Windows + Mac) to transfer music. Ignace... it seems you have access to a Beosound5 documentation... can you post more of it? Hi, i suppose i could scan and upload some of the pages of the BeoConnect

So now we're seeing more and more trickle out about the BS5/BM5. My question is, as a person waiting to see full product photos and in-depth descriptions, when will official product information be revealed to the public by B&O? I saw someone mention that an article will appear about it in the next B&O mag issue. When does that go out? We've

wtlc2zpx: Apple has already license the DRM technology to one company: Motorola. I had forgotten about that. However, I am not aware of any other company. It's also important to note that this preceded the iPhone. So, there was a very clear motive in that case and I have read in post iPhone launch interviews where Jobs talked about how they learned
-
moxxey: However, what I'm asking was this - if this Beosound is supposed to be iTunes 'compatible', then do they just mean audio tracks you've sourced from your own audio CDs. You see, the point is this - if iTunes is now the number one source for downloading music, and the Beosound doesn't support Apple's Fairplay, then they
