Alex, We need to be harsh to get the discussion started. The BL8000 are truly perfection from the designpoint. However people confuse me when they state they actually perform to high standard. Have you ever compared them to new speakers from this century? PS: I had a pair which I recently swapped to BL9.. I loved my BL8000... but not for the sound though

Frederick is the owner of two MKIII... Just add's to my point on timing. (You want to stay in the comfortzone... Be real, be objective...OK I'm pushing it now !) I'm jalous of your MKIII compared to my MKII The Dane

BeoDane, It's all about balancing the high value / high pricepoint luxury position for B&O and grow the business at the same time. In a maturing market the only way to grow revenues and not loosing the competitive edge in their positioning strategy is to utilize the refurbed/churned products to push new equipments into the market. 355f: Niveau: Beolab, I don't agree with you : -) What sounds "nice and smooth" is subjective i agree. I would always meassure on the speakers abillity to get close to recording. The BL8000 just don't do the job for me ! I had problems with the BL9's also.. missing midrange... But they still outperform the 8000 by miles... The

BeoDane, Sounds great , but my dealer told me the same thing about the panel on th MKII (Upgradable to full HD). Make sure to get it in black and white.. I believe that the MK4 will be on the street LONG before we see the upgrade kit. (Money makes the world go around) The Dane
