Hi and welcome to Beoworld. Your idea of you removing the AR coating frightens the hell out of me, I don't know what others think, but IMO I'd put that out of your mind straight away. Razor blade!!!! On the AR screen of my Beovision 3 I get the same purplish effect when I apply glass cleaner and clean the screen. I found it not a simple wipe

What happens if you swap scart sockets? I presume your DVD player is plugged into a scart socket, so what happens if you connect the DVD to the socket where the STB was and vice-versa? Also, are did you try the new STB with the original scart cable? It may be down to this being faulty.

Power cuts are not unusual here in Spain (expecially during rainfall, but not uniquely) however this is the first time this has affected the phone in this way. I am assuming there no way to restore

Saw this brief article in a magazine which was titled "Next Big Thing - reflection free screens". From the description of the technology it seems very similar to the AR screens B&O TVs have. http://tinyurl.com/62l8b96

[quote user="XTHX"] Hey guys i am new to the forum. I just purchased a used very clean bv5 mk2 from 2005. I really love the tv but one thing that really bugs me is a constant brightness/contrass change depending on the picture. In scences of a movie where the image is a lighter color or brighter scence the TV seems to increase the brightness
