I've got a Beosystem 3 setup, and can even run my VCR signal to my projector, as well as to the Plasma. And my Mac Mini works great with it as well.

Nope, at least not in the US. -- Paul

That's about $580 US. I was hoping it would just be a memory update for the Mark I BS3s. So, anyone know the technical differences between the BS3 Mark I and Mark II besides more memory? Does it have a faster processor, etc? -- Paul

I recently compared surround audio calibration results of the built-in Beosystem 3 tones against those supplied on the Avia calibration DVD. The results for surround speakers are way different, with the Avia calibration resulting in surround speakers about 10 dB louder than from the BS3's built-in tones. I'm tending to trust the Avia calibration
Use a Panasonic TH50PF11 or the new PF12 that arrives this autumn. It also comes in a 65" version but it's expensive. These are the panels, which B&O uses in their Beovision 4 line. With an RS232 cable from the BS3 to the panny you will get full control over on/off.
I have a Panasonic T H - 3 7

I have the same setup as you, and emailed my dealer the XML for Beo5 control of the Sanyo projector (since I don't have the config software myself). He asked B&O HQ (in the US) and they said I'd need a hardware update to my Beo5 to send out the appropriate IR signal for this. They also seemed suspicious that I was supplying my own XML for

My biggest peeve with the Beo5 is reaching for the top left corner of the touchscreen with my thumb, and my palm squeezes the Standby button. The Standby button is huge and too easy to accidently press. Also happens sometimes when trying to select Blue. Aside from that, I have a BeoSystem 3 with Blu-ray and Mac Mini, plasma, and projector, as well as
I just bought a new Mac mini, and the apple salesman told me to connect it to my TV I only need to get a mini-DVI to video adapter which I got. But my TV shows no picture, it flimmers a bit when I turn the mini on, but then only black. It's connected via a simple video cable and scart adapter to V.tape on the
When my dealer went to upgrade my BS3 to the new software (6.11) they were advised by the North America B&O office not to. So I ended up with just 5.08. Anyone know of any issues?
Something about turning off while watching one HDMI source, then trying to turn on with a different HDMI source. US update to

In the States, I've ordered cables, even phones, from a dealer over the telephone and they shipped it to me with no problem. Call the dealer and see what he says. -- Paul
