Topfield TF5800 twin tuner pvr, until recently used with Beovision 7/stbc.Full working order, simply removed to allow for connection of Sky Plus box. With Scart cable etc and Topfield handset and user guide. Open to sensible offers. Nick

Further to other replies, the sensor kit was intended for use where the Beosystem was concealed inside a cabinet(shame?)If you used this in another room, the operation would be rather odd.Indeed, the MCL 2a or later Extra Speaker Kit is the thing to go for. You will need to use the special B&O MCL cable (still available)to connect between rooms.Either

Argh,I've managed to damage the platter!! Does anyone have a spare? The same finish was used on Grams:3300/4500/8500/9500,but I think 6500/7000 would fit too? Ta everso. Nick

There is a "run off stop" circuit, that senses when the arm moves faster at the end of the record.I think from memory there is an adjustment, but also there may be a faulty capacitor preventing the circuit functioning correctly. Adjusting the slides is for the preset start positions for different size records. Nick.

If She's never "had a spanner on her",the usual suspects will need attention, and they are legendary poor solderings. This may well be all thats required. If you are not confident to delve inside, take the unit to someone with B&O experience. It should'nt be expensive, and well worth it. Nick

"You are the ninth person today to ask about this item sir,but it's not available,as there is no demand for it" How often do we get treated to this logic these day's? However,if you search this site, one of the members was offering to make this part to order!! In the meantime, you can buy a lightweight ferrite ring magnet from a modellers

I've never had much luck cleaning the discs Geoff, you have to replace them in my experience. They may not be available any more as new spares now though. B&O used the same idea to time the door sequence in the Beocentre 9300,and that was problematic too!! Might be worth asking your nearest Dealer to check if the parts are still available. Part

You need to replace the turntables Martin. Its something to do with pitting of the chrome type coating on plastic.I've looked at them under a magnifying glass, and can't see the problem, but new ones do the trick! This was a factory recommendation. The tape will slow down towards the ends, this is the clever design to prevent tape breakage.B&O

This was indeed a common problem with these otherwise super machines. You are on the right track Martin,it is due to noise confusing the computer. The culprits are the reflective strobe markings under each turntable,NOT the ir sensors.Replace the two turntables with new ones(if still available?)Trust me,this will sort the problem. This can happen, but rarely, and only with the later '9500 direct drive dc spindle motor. There are fusible resistors to protect the motor supply in case of motor siezure/burnt commutator etc.If they blow, then obviously there is no motor supply. I've never had any problems with the earlier induction type spindle motor, fitted to the first generation
