I would think very carefully about this before committing. Certainly from the UK perspective the set-up costs/ equity required can be substantial. B&O operate a FRANCHISE model for the UK. If you are lucky enough to get a good franchise I am sure that this can be a very successful business. A number of shops have however gone under and if gossip

I would agree wholeheartedly with the above. I had assumed the new Loewe (launched this week !) was profile 1.1 compliant. If not then it is already out of date. I know that Pioneer have a compliant model but far more expensive. Re HD audio the magazines claim a significant difference (I suppose they would ?). Since I haven't done back to back comparisons

Is it worth it ? The short and probably unhelpful answer is I'm not sure. We have the BV7-32 (rather than the 7-40). There is some benefit in picture quality over a standard DVD player. The PS3 even does a reasonable job of upscaling normal DVD's though no doubt not nearly as good as a BV7-40(V3). Clearly the screen size (32 inch) probably immediately

I have the BL2. With hindsight would have gone for a B&W PV1 http://www.homecinemachoice.com/cgi-bin/displayreview.php?reviewid=5978

Talked to my dealer today. He stated that this is far from being a final product. It could be weeks or months before it is launched. He wouldn't commit further. Guess I have to continue with HDMI/ DVI convertor and optical/ toslink for audio

From experience I found the best way of connecting the PS3 to BV7 was using HDMI/ DVI adaptor for video and optical digital (via convertor) for audio. Clearly you only have one DVI on the TV so I would assume some sort of switcher would work to move between the two HDMI sources. My PS3 is accessed through PC on the Beo4/ Beo5. I only have normal Sky

I was told by the local dealership that it would be about £300 above the current model and no remote included.

See the video at the following site http://kotaku.com/gaming/clips/play-tv-on-ps3-explained-292541.php Sony are now launching PlayTV as an add-on for the PS3. Looks a pretty good solution and certainly far preferable to B&O's DVD2 which from what I've read doesn't appear to have a digital tuner.

Keith He only did the wiring etc about 4 weeks ago. If there proves to be an issue I think I will suggest (in the nicest possible terms) that he wave any charge. I have however noticed that whereas in the past the original dealer bent over backwards to provide services e.g. installation free of charge that the current dealer charges for everything

Keith Thanks. I will see if the engineer can come out and sort. Regards Ken
