Glad that helped. I remember being confused trying to do the same thing when I got my Avant years ago. My BS3 is being installed June 11 with the rest of a new B&O home theater set-up-- so I'm jealous you already have yours~~

Hi~~ I'm assuming the BS3 works the same was as the Avant. Plug in the headphones, then on the Beo4 remote, press right in the middle of the volume up/volume down button on the lower end of the remote. This will turn off sound to your speakers and only send sound thru your headphones. See if that does the trick~~

A friend of mine who knows my passion for B&O sent this link to me. A very positive review of the BV7. http://www.mensvogue.com/design/articles/2007/04/bang_olufsen Enjoy~~

I love it! Let me know if you ever want to put it up for sale~~~ Todd

Thanks, all. Option 2 it is. My BS9000 is already on a stand (in conjunction with a BeoVision Avant 32" HT), so it will be easy to evaluate that placement in the new system versus placing on the cabinet with the tilt bracket or mounting it on the wall, which I also like. Cheers~~~

Peter & beodude~~ It doesn't look like the link in my post is clickable. You'll have to copy and paste the link in your browser to access. Sorry. The main seating area is about 9-10 feet away from the screen. Is there a typical or standard height most of you use/recommend for hanging a 50" screen? I'm meeting with my B&O dealer

Thanks for the input, Morgan. Just as a point of clarification because I don't think I was clear, it is a shelf unit, not a cabinet, so the speaker is not really impeded in any way versus the wall mounting. However, I take your point that the center is mounted too high in any case in option 1. Thanks.

Hi beoworld! You have all been very helpful with my selection of equipment for upgrading my home entertainment system. All the equipment has been ordered, and now it's down to finalizing the placement of the TV (BV7-50) and center (BL7-2): either on shelving unit or wall mounted. Time to buy some furniture! There are two options we are considering

I do believe the Panasonic blu-ray is Beo4 supported, according to my local (USA) dealer. I know for sure the Samsung BD-P1200 is supported-- just ordered one thru my dealer as part of a home theater set-up.

Thank you all for the advice and input-- this is really a big help in figuring out how to configure the system. Peter's set-up sounds most like what I think I'll plan to do. There is a large closet directly behind the wall on which I will hang the BV4-50 and BL7-2. I'll wire those thru the wall to the BS3, PVR/Cable Box and AppleTV, all
