The digital output on the dvd1 sends all the channels available. The only way to get for example DD 5.1 from the dvd1 is via the digital connection. Cheers Peter

You can also use P.MUTE on the beo4 to switch off the plasma if you like. (you may need to add P.MUTE to your list menu on Beo4) Regards Peter

Ever the optimist I was wondering if anyone knows when we can expect to see a new version of Beoplayer with significant new functionality for digital music handling. Version 4.6.1 was released in march 07 with minor changes nothing since. I have been using Beomedia 1 with beoplayer since Jan 07, I am mildly happy with the very basic functionality, but

All the HD channels support DD but not all the programs transmitted are DD as that depends on the source material. You can see what is in DD by looking in the program description in the sky epg they add DD to the description. Cheers Peter

Agreed, just a few more channels with the DD track. If fact Ive noticed my last post was slightly inaccurate, joc in his post is correct a few of the SD channels also transmit DD as you already know I think. Regards Peter

On a Sky HD box you need to connect the optical output up to your system using an optical to sp/diff converter, the Sky HD box does not transmit DD sound over the HDMI cable (as it should). You can then receive DD sound on channels that transmit it which is just the Sky HD channels. Cheers Peter

Solved! I asked my dealer, very helpful. Their technician suggested powering off the BS3200 for 30min then restarting it. This has cleared the problem. Must admit having owned various B&O kit now for 11 years I have had this kind of advice a number of times but didnt think to do it with this problem. Regards Peter

Deos anyone know an email address to directly contact whoever at B&O is the product manager for Beoplayer and Beomedia1. As I would like to send them a list of software enhancements for their consideration for inclusion in beoplayer. Regards Peter

And if you either connect a Playstation 3 or a Blu-ray player by hdmi to the BS3 and play a blu-ray movie you will get Uncompressed PCM 5.1 sound which is even better (much much better) than the DTS you get from your DVD . Regards peter
