@Moxxey: 'FM is due to be switched off in the near future' that is, with all respect, complete nonsense.
You live in the UK then? What is "nonsense" for you, might not be for us. See http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/2009/jun/16/digital-britain-analogue-radio-switchoff
But please don't cry for FM when its station choice was horribly limited along with the hiss, crackle, interference and distorted sound!
This 'old chestnut' again. A decent FM tuner, and aerial, will beat DAB for sound quality any day of the week. After all,a FM tuner, such as my 1970's Accuphase

Isn't this problem 'par for the course' with an edge lit LED TV? Namely, non uniformity of backlighting, because of the edge placement of the LEDs,producing a 'cloudy' effect.
I agree with you Dkatz about Miele, the company I would love to go to work for. Top quality products, designed to last and perform. Adam
Miele may still be the best for quality 'white goods',but I have just replaced an 18 year old Miele washing machine with a new Miele, the external build quality

To digress: Leica and Zeiss german lenses are the sharpest in the world? Highly debateable. Historically,I remember a Mamiyaflex being tested by AP in the 1960s where the reviewer said that the lenses were so sharp, that for portraiture, he had to put a couple of layers of nylon over them to soften the image. Then we had the Contax SLRs,and their Zeiss
There's just one reason for outsourcing: MONEY!
True! As a manufacturer,if the choice is between installing a production line, and engaging, and training, additional employees to operate it,or having the product manufactured by a third party, which would make more economic sense?

But, back to the PQ, this is simply stunning. And the improvement from the mk1 to the mk2 is significant IMHO.
I have a MKI, and I am very happy with it. I have thought of the MKII due to the many more zones in the backlight and the improved Blueray.
I cannot vouch for
