I got a BEO5 some month ago and in the beginning I forced my self to use the BEO5 and not at BEO4. Now I really enjoy using the BEO5 and sometimes when only a BEO4 is in reach I really miss the BEO5. This is mainly due to all the macro's I have made in the BEO5. Ken

Frank, From how you are describing the problem I bet it's a fault (SW or HW) in your BV7. Also the BV7 is now the only component that you haven't triied to replace. So this also very clearly points to a faulty BV7. Ken

I have a BV7-40 MK-I and a brand new HDR-2. In the lik room I have a very old MX-6000 and I have no problems at all operating the HDR-2 from the link room. BV7 turned on or off, everything works perfect. Was the test with the BC6 as replacement of the BV7 or MX4200?. From what your describing I would suspect it to be a problem with your BV7. Ken
