  • Re: beogram 6006 platter not moving, coils are humming

hi ray! yes, i was quite happy seeing the platter turning again . changing the transistor for the cpu reset didn´t change anything, perhaps i´ll have a closer look to the brake-circuit,as it feels abit like the platter wants to spinn and brake at the same time or alternating in a certain frequency. greetings! jens

  • Re: beogram 6006 platter not moving, coils are humming

latest news: i replaced the two caps, which were old, but measuring them showed, they were not shorted and still had their full capacity. o.k., then i put the subplatter back in the gram, what i didn´t do for my last tests and found out, that it´s moving again, the right direction, but not very stable, it reaches more or less 33.33rpm according

hi martin! yes, i replaced all electrolytic caps, also the one inside the cpu-case, except c19 and c40, as i hadn´t new ones, that fitted there by the hand. it didn´t work when i got it one year ago, but after changing the caps and fitting your tachodisk, it worked perfectly for a year. hi jan and ray! i measured resistance over the coils

  • beogram 6006 platter not moving, coils are humming

hello everyone! i exchanged all caps on this about one or two years ago and everything was working fine since then. until last week.... the deck started with problems not speeding up to 33.33 rpm, 45 still worked, then it worked fine again for one day, meanwhile it doesn´t move at all, just the coil (the outer one) makes a loud humming and after

  • Re: Beomaster 6000 with a fault in the power supply

hi ablaumeise! a look into the service manual shows, that the 160 mA fuse handels the lower voltage section, which provides voltages for ic´s etc. so it could be leaking caps C1 3300μF(or slightly higher, if you can´t get hold of this value) or C10 2200μF. another posibility is broken ics in voltage regulation IC1 BDX34A or TR1 BC547B

hi craig and chris! good work craig! company tangband is doing some very good widerange speakerchassis with 8cm diameter, they´ve got some shielded ones as well. they sound very good and their frequency range goes up to 20khz, which the maplin one won´t manage. they offer models with different thiele small parameters, it would be interesting

got an answer by b+o the last week, that they do not stock any more spare parts for the beomaster 6000, so they don´t have the processor anymore. perhaps you have got any other sources fo rthe ic, martin? greetings jens
