  • Re: First pictures Serenata

andy, BO = body odor. I don't think the poster was disparaging B&O owners. iPhone dimensions 115 x 61 x 11.6mm serenata dimensions 109.5 x 63 x 19.7 mm All those people who grumbled that the iphone was too big will certainly not be able to fit this in their pocket.

Peter: Beosystem 6000 quad but as a multi channel surround sound system Nice idea.

  • re-issues of old products

I noticed that Grundig are re-issuing the Audiorama speakers from the 70's: Gizmodo: Grundig Audiorama AV-Magazin The hanging model is pretty cool looking. What B&O products from the old days would we like to see a re-release of? I'd vote for beogram 4004, anything with rosewood and glass on it. Beocenter 9000 with an ipod dock instead of

  • Re: How to connect B&O Active Speakers to a non-B&O pre-amp/amplifiers

Hi Andy, if you want to use a regular surround processor, probably the easiest thing to do would be to re-wire using RCA cables. I assume your active speakers have a line input as well. They will turn on when there's a signal. The problem with this is that they will turn off when there's no sound for a couple minutes, so you may have the surround

  • Re: is it a problem for beocom 4?

Mine has an echo as well when I turn up the volume beyond 60%. But I guess I shouldn't expect much for only nine times the price of a normal cordless phone.

  • Re: Potential New Owner

So many opinions, so few facts. Anyway, I feel that someone should point out that while the beosound 9000 will drive 4 speakers, it will only do that with two channels. If you were hoping to get cinema surround sound out of this setup then you have to double the expenditure and incorporate a beosystem 3 or b&o television. This is one area where

  • Re: Another fine mess - help needed!

i think the last two posters are confusing AC and DC (after the transformer). Surely the part you are showing is low voltage and therefore polarity-sensitive.

  • Re: BC2 - new models

yes, this is what I should have said - that a regular DVD player is of limited interest to me at this point. So if they're not going to build in the new formats (highly unlikely) they might as well leave it out and save some complexity. Maybe it'll read discs faster as well. As for no benefit from the new format, you do the math. 1920x1080

  • Re: BC2 - new models

Interesting news. I was just about to finally buy a BC2, but I have no need for the DVD player. I wonder what the new finish will look like?
