  • Re: Beolab 5 disappointed

I had our BL5's connected via the digital link and wasn't completely happy with the sound as I couldn't adjust the tone controls. I now run the speakers on Powerlink alone and have the bass up one notch but no loudness. This is likely not as B&O intends and probably considered blasphemy to the purists but to my ears I like the sound

  • Re: Beosound 5 Encore.... not until after summer !

That makes me very happy if a CD can be directly pushed onto the BS5 without first saving it on my laptop. When the dealer showed me how to transfer music it was first saved on the laptop in Windows Media and then pushed onto the BS 5. He said it worked the same with iTunes. There was no mention of direct transfer without having to save it it first

  • Re: Beosound 5 Encore.... not until after summer !

I think with the Olive it seems easier to get the music onto the hard drive. It seems to be a matter of loading the disc and hitting copy and it's done. With the BS 5 the CD has to be copied onto a computer and then pushed onto the BS 5. I'm not disputing the convenience of digital - I'd just like to be able to load music direct without

On the plus side though the Olive does include a CD drive and a 2tb hard disc. I think B&O need to realise that not everyone has their music loaded on a computer or they may not want to either. Peter

  • Re: Connecting powerlink cables

I have purchased adapters a couple of times from the dealer but I don't know if they are still available. The powerlink cable plugs into each end. Peter

  • Re: Lab 3500

Just had a look at the instructions for my BL3500. It doesn't mention any procedure for swapping between MCL & Beolink. My guess is to power down your BS3000 & BL3500, connect the masterlink cable to both products and switch the power back on. Switch the BS3000 on first and then the BL3500. I think the 3500 will recognise that it is now

  • Re: New DVB-HD dowload on B & O page

I had that problem with my bv10 as well. I was changing channels and the clock appeared and the tv froze so I had to turn it off then on again. I have worse problems now though; after a burning smell the tv now doesn't work at all. Back to Service.... Peter

  • Re: BV7-40 MK3 with DVB-HD - Australian Channel Numbers & Channel Groups

Hi, I have the same problem on our BV 10. The only stations that aline with the channel numbers are the Seven stations (Seven, Seven 2 & Mate). All the rest of the station numbers are in the hundred range for whatever reason. I did once have the correct numbers corresponding to the stations but that changed after a rescan. I also had trouble with

  • Motorised stand

Hi, I have just installed the motorised stand on a BV 10. Just wondering how far the thing will actually turn from side to side? I was under the impression it could could a fair distance either side. If I use the Beo4 to turn it it doesn't turn far at all. If I manually turn it to where I want it then if I use the stand function it will motor it

  • Re: Beo5 controlling Panasonic HDD via BV10 puc

Hi Keith, Thanks for your response. The hard buttons on the Beo5 are all more or less in line with the Beo4 and the Panasonic. It's the soft buttons that are all over the place. Functions are as follows:- Beo5 Panasonic function Display Direct Access Drive Select Guide Rec Mode Display Power Power Timeslip Timeslip Info Drive select Guide Display
