Some people are trying to suggest B&O and Apple are the same, they're not. Apple are a Computer company that sell few computers as a % (I own one btw) but have a massive share of the personal music player market and a largish share of the mobile telephone market. B&O are a hifi and tv company that don't make computers, have an almost

I got myself a twitter account and noticed "Bang_Olufsen" as a user on it, although there's not been anything posted since April. Is there another B&O one or potentially a good unofficial feed anyone can recommend? (If anyone's interested, I'm @scottishcalvin on it; I'm not posting anything clever on it, just silly jokes

I suspect that a conversation about Manchester United would either breach the forum rules eventually or otherwise not be interesting to read. I don't know what order people place: [1] Sport [2] Religeon and [3] B&O in their order of preference, or what the Venn diagram would look like :) I do suspect that a better forum style for loger 'conversation'

The first rule to remember about business analysis: correlation does not equal causation When I was working as a commodities analyst, it was painful to read the conflicting stuff: "Costs are going up which should support metal prices at $x levels" "Metal prices are rising which will support price increases by raw material producers"

hmm, well that gives me more to think about then. I've been thinking about getting a remote for the kitchen and my Century. I thought I would probably get a Beo5 for my living room and move the Beo4 through but then I hate to buy stuff when there's potentially better stuff a few months away. (This is why I love and mostly own vintage stuff)

This is a thread I had a read of at the time it was posted; I've since come back to it to reply I do take a scroll through the Wednesday stuff from time to time but really, it's pages of space - I use the word space deliberately, explanation follows. Whilst normal forum threads have a dozen or so replies, the Wednesday threads are essentially

Ok, I know it's an audiophile forum but hear me out: I had A8s when I first got a BS2. Then after 2 years of heavy use, the jack came away partly from the cable. To their credit the Durham store (sadly not with us these days, merged with Newcastle) fixed/replaced them. 2 Years later, the same happened again. However, I then got a pair of Atomic

Lol. Or maybe they're from Wales/Italy/etc

On a somewhat more esoteric note, I'm going to suggest an improved bottle opener with a corkscrew. This might be heresy but whilst the normal one is a classic design and very cool to keep in a pocket, I just prefer to have a corkscrew on me, they're just so much harder to find and thus more useful at a party I find

A Betamax player or Laserdisc from the past would be nice. The LD player I have is great (1996, Pioneer) but it's such a pain having a second, more ugly, remote in the room. More realistic would have been the betamax player, given that it's a premium picture quality product and more in tune with B&O than VHS. I don't have a player myself
