I am quite surprised that the woofers have deteriorated to such an extent. The dust caps on my 5700 did perish. I purchased new ones from Martin and had them on within 5 min and they were good as new. The rubber sorrounds are very hardy. Definitely worth keeping the speaker original. Once you replace the woofers you then have speakers you might enjoy

During cleaning of the house one speaker wire was pulled out the back of one of my M150 speakers and the dog got hold of it and decided to eat it . Rather upsetting as they were like new. Anyone has one to sell me? I need a 4m one. Thanks Ben

I do get a thud when I turn my 6000 on but its a very, very quiet one which actually I didn't notice till you mentioned it. So there has to be a way to reduce yours.
