  • Re: Anyone tried Sky HD on an Avant 32dvd?

thanks King Street! I've been out at work so although I could read the replies to my question I couldn't reply as my iphone won't let me! Anyway, I think I might give it a try as at least I'll end up with a bigger hard drive and thus more storage space. Your experience that there is a noticeable improvement in picture qulaity with an

  • Anyone tried Sky HD on an Avant 32dvd?

Hello all, my question is as above really. I'm a bit disappointed in the picture quality of Sky plus through my new (to me) Avant 32dvd. I see digital artefacts on most broadcasts where there were none with my old Avant 28. now I understand this is probably because of the 100mhz system the Avant DVD32 uses and I've done a bit of googling which

  • Re: BeoVision MX 1500

It's a very nice set which still has a great picture if you find a nice one with good contrast and brightness. I have a couple of them and wouldn't replace them with any small lcd television. You need to make sure the backup battery has been replaced as without it the tuner will not 'remember' channels and other settings. Sound, although

  • Re: Bang Olufsen official site has stolen my picture

well I don't know. There are numerous examples of made up law not being watertight. Just because they've typed it on their website doesn't make it law - depends on the amount of trouble you want to go to. As a pro though you'd expect at least a proper credit and as a pro who's a B&O enthusiast I think you deserve better. Are

  • Re: Is there an Avant near Malvern?

agree with the above! Even the early ones that people don't reckon as much are still great - if they've lasted this long the tubes should be fine. I have a curved screen 28 inch vcr avant and the sound and picture quality is fantastic and always impresses visitors. You can get one of these for a couple of hundred pounds - cheaper and much better

  • connecting beocenter 9000 to beomaster 6500 -possible? practical?!!

Hello all - a question that has sprung up due to my winning an ebay auction that I didn't think I would! Anyway, I have a Beocenter 9000 - it's not going anywhere and is part of the furniture. I've been thinking of getting some up to date speakers to replace the cx 100s and cona that I currently have. The qustion is this: is there any way

  • Re: Avant 28RF - is the tube as good as the 32?!

So the 28 RF inch Avant chassis isn't related to the 28 inch BV3 chassis? Just seems that the 28 inch RF was in production for a relatively short time so I reasoned there might be some crossover between the two product lines.

  • Avant 28RF - is the tube as good as the 32?!

Hello, well getting around to thinking about upgrading my early Avant. The 28 inch screen size is just fine for our small cottage and I've been looking at a few for sale via the internet. The question is whether the 28 inch real flat screen is equally as good a picture as the celebrated 32 inch. I remember on the old forum there were threads saying
