• Beosystem 6000 or 8000

Hello! After completing a 5000/5500 Beosystem I plan to continue the collection, and interested in 6000 and 8000 series. Having examined the archive, I've found out, the 6000 CD uses the TDA1541 and the Beomaster has the great sound, similar to that of my 5500, but heaten a lot and difficult to repair. Regarding the Beomaster 8000- sounds the same

  • Re: S60 or 3702 ?

Well...again, my BM5500+BGCD50 costed me EUR 550, Tape recorder BC5000- "just" EUR 75, as it is in worst condition, and is taken to close the hole in a rack, until I find a Beogram CD5500 as a second CD-player. The Beovox 3702 I've taken for EUR 400, and all those prices are more than typical for Russia... Regarding the speakers, having

But the MC120.2, same as S55, S80 etc have the dome midrange, that do not like that much in home speakers, while my 3702 and the S60 have the cone midrange, having softer sound. Please, tell if I am wrong, and what speakers from B&O would you recommend to look for. Thanks!
I agree with John! I know second-hand B&O can be hard to find in Russia but 400 euros is a lot of money for a pair of S60's. I would be inclined to pass them by and enjoy the speakers you already have. Simon
Thanks, guys- will pass them, and will try to find something really valuable, as my 3702

  • S60 or 3702 ?

Hi, everyone! There are a not bad condition S60's for sale at the moment for EUR 400. Will it be an upgrade to my 75' Beovox 3702 (3-way), bought for the same money in perfect condition? What is the sound difference between these models? The S60 are said to be not too accurate. To my opinion, the 3702 sound highly-musical with BM5500 and BGCD50

  • Re: Beomaster 5500 with Beogram CD50 or Beomaster 5000 with Beogram 5500?
I wouldn't change the Beomaster, although some argue that 5000 is the best of the series (I certainly can't hear the difference between any of them). MCP5000 is an annoying remote in daily use and your Beolink 1000 won't work with Beomaster 5000. CD5500 is a lot more reliable than CD50 though, and probably

  • Re: Beomaster 5500 with Beogram CD50 or Beomaster 5000 with Beogram 5500?
As I understand you refer to Beogram CD5500, right? NOT the Beogram 5500 record player. IMHO 900 Euro for the set is way too much. Less than half would be ok, I guess. BM 100 Euro, MCP 50 - 100 Euro, BG CD5500 150-200 Euro... I don't think you will be able to tell a difference.....BUT sure someone will correct me

  • Re: Beomaster 5500 with Beogram CD50 or Beomaster 5000 with Beogram 5500?
Did you get your Beovox 3702 speakers serviced? Caps etc.? That will make a difference... Ralf
What do you mean? The only thing are the foam surroundings, having shivered after the speakers being turned on, and replaced with the new rubber ones.

  • Re: What was your first B&O purchase and why did you purchase?

Bought Beomaster 5500 with Beogram CD50 and Beolink 1000 + Beovox 3702 after several month tries to find something sounding from a modern hi-fi. Suddenly found a vintage seller, who offered a pair of 3702 speakers from a B&O collector- in close to perfect condition. After 5 minutes they worked, the midbass foam surroundings shivered, and replaced

  • Beomaster 5500 with Beogram CD50 or Beomaster 5000 with Beogram 5500?

Hello, everyone! Now own Beomaster 5500 with Beogram CD50, Beolink 1000 Mk3 remote and Beovox 3702 speakers. The controls are made through DIN, and audio- via RCA. Sounding naturally, detailed and punchy. There is a possibility to buy Beomaster 5000 with Beogram 5500 and a MCP5000 remote for about EUR 900. What will I gain in sound quality in any of
