I completely agree about the Avant. A 10 year old world beating set that is still relevant. Then again then was only 1 format in CRT, thus making it easier for a small company to concentrate on surely. Will I be still saying the same in 7 years about my 7? It would be more appealing if it were not for the new panel technologies about to be launched upon us. I don't think 4k programmes will be launched any time soon, not here anyway but cannot bring myself to invest in something that could be bettered by something a tenth of the price very soon. It was much easier to warrant it in the CRT days. There

I saw both 6-26 versions together with the mk v being the latest, and the difference was quite noticeable.

There are still a few Beovision 6-26(HDMI) versions still knocking around at dealers, for just under £2,000. Wonder if it its worth just waiting???
