Maybe it's just me, then. I like my monitors/speakers to be as simple (i.e. non-mechanical) as possible. How would a moving alt-lens be incorporated into a wall? I get the ceiling part, and that might actually work pretty well, but the walls? I think I'm simply not getting it. I have techno lust as much as most people, and I'd love to have

Sorry to be a party pooper, but disregarding the techno-lust of a moving ALT-tweeter , what's the point? You'll not only have more moving parts that can break, and more expense, but when the lens is up, there'll be a an undampened void in the speakers. I see the point in a car, where the speakers/units are separates, but I really don't

If Apple does come out with a TV set, my prediction is that it will be very much tied into iTunes (ie. a huge iTunes screen mostly) won't play nice with non-Apple products, have crappy audio (compared to B&O's tv offerings), and, the horror: have a super glary screen behind a full-front glary piece of glass.
Last night I had a visitor from overseas - they were travelling with an iPad I offered to let them use their iPad and its music on my system When I pressed [PC] on the Beo4 and our white BeoVision 8 came to life with iTunes on the screen there was a *gasp* ... a pause ... and then "oh you have an Apple TV"
You can always make the choice on/off.
Yup. If implemented, it should be a choice. Either globally and/or per track/album

Classical music and operas spring to mind where I don't want auto-levelling.

and can at least run up to 96kHz
it runs up to 192kHz
Thanks, I was at bit in doubt. I knew it ran at least 96khz, but I wasn't sure it would take 192kHz. It makes the difference even worse (or better, depending on your view).
Where u want me to stop?
Sonos: Old type D/A converter maxing out at 16bit (!), 48khz. Volume control is 16bit too, meaning you reduce the bits the lower the volume is. This means a lot with powerful active speakers, as you're seldomly powering them even to half their capability. BS5: New type D/A converter

Sounds pretty simple. Thanks
......a NAS is used alongside the BS5. I tweaked Twonkyserver, now I get the origial tag-enclosed resolution. The downscaled 160*160 looked even horrible on therelative small screen of the BS5
Sounds good. So it is possible to circumvent this artificial limitation. How did you do it?
