Thanks for your swift reply. I have already ordered a 5 pin DIN to put onto the cable, or do you think its best to remove the whole lead and connect straight to the transformer? I had thought the same about the glue, i will try it. The wiring around the stylus looks fine, or did you mean perhaps the internal wiring being the cause? I heard the deck

Hello, Yesterday i picked up my first Beogram 4000 and carefully took it home at about 10 miles an hour all the way. Disaster struck when i got home i noticed the stylus guard had fallen off and due to it just being glued on i thought i could remove the stylus and glue it back on myself. This is when real disaster struck. As i pried off the stylus,

Hi, My Beogram 5005 has a tendency to speed up all of a sudden, sometimes. Not exactly sure when, as its not always the same but i am pretty sure its when i am playing 45s. It starts ok then suddenly its speeds up and stays that way. I think the sped up speed is the correct speed. Any ideas? thanks Tom

Thanks for all your comments, am really getting used to the 1202 and really falling for its sound. Managed to secure the Lift button fairly easily. If only only i could get rid of the rumble and squeak when it starts but i am sure i will soon. I can see why people love this turntable. I noticed that some people replace the platter, which would reduce

Cheers for your opinions. I set up the 1202 and put in the SP12 and it really sounded much better then my 5005 with MMC1 which is quite worrying. I also got a SP10 included in the deal so i attached that and it also sounded pretty good. The main worry i have is that there is a little noise coming from the platter motor. Is that easy to lubricate or

Hi, I have just obtained a Beogram 1202 in fairly good condition with an sp10 and 12. I already own a beogram 5005 with an mmc 1 but am not sure which one to use as my main deck? Any ideas? Which one would you guys use? cheers Tom

Ignore my post, just realised that i can manually move it by holding the Turn button. Had never tried as previous owner said i needed a remote. Doh Cheers Tom

Yes i am with you on that, B&O are pretty advanced but that would be just like a CD Player. Eitther way i would prefer to at least be able to put the needle down somewhere close to a song i wanted to play rather than listen to a whole side to get to the last track for example. Is there a way of doing this without a remote? if not are there any other

Hi, I picked up a beogram 5005 a couple of months ago and all in all it seems ok. My problem is that i am using it with a regular amp so i dont have the ability to use a B&O remote, meaning i cant skip tracks. Not the biggest problem but a bit of a pain so i was wondering if anyone could tell me of a work round for this? Or maybe a list of other

Hello, i am new to the world of B&O but look forward to emracing this whole owners community. I was curious if i could use your wealth of expereince to help me get the best out of my setup. I have just picked up a Beogram 5005 in fair condition, with a MMC1 cartridge. It arrived in the post without being locked, so the platter had been rattling
