The Configuration Tool is expecting a B&O product in the zone before you can add other "sources". I suggest that you add a TV or a Radio and then hide the buttons from thoose.

Your Beo5 is running with the latest firmware. Your tool must be version 4.11. You will not be able to get the updates unless you have a valid retail login, and I guess that you have not. So you must always work in offline mode. The logos must be within 92 by 44 pixels, if you make them larger, they will not be better, only take up more space in your

The problem is in the code of the Onkyo xml file. When a key contains a combined command like a code, then a delay and then a new code, then this key is misinterpretated by the tool when it recalculates. I can see from the code that it is NEC32 with special repeat. Special repeat means that the main code is send first and then it is followed by a simple

The AV command from Beo4 is actually just the same commands but with different adresses. Try to check the serial number of your Beo5. If the serial is below 21404408 then it has only one type of IR transmitter diodes. From this serial number two type of diodes with different wavelenghts was introduced. I have heard that especially the Lutron receivers depends on the correct IR wave length.

I'm sad to say that there is no way to extract the code from a Beo5 and turn it into code for the Configuration Tool. The code downloaded into the Beo5 is serialized, as you must have seen several times, before you lost your configuration. This process is not reversible. There is a proverb which says: Real men do not backup - they cry!

I have found that if the Beo5 is not recognised correct by Windows it helps to use a USB hub between the PC and the Beo5. I have used a D-Link model DUB-H4 with success.

Do you know that you can actually ask your dealer to request this device for the Beo5 Configuration Tool? Your dealer must contact his local PUC representative with the request. The decoding service is for free (except for shipping cost), but your dealer may charge you for programming your Beo5.

If your icon are used together with a STB, it may need to have some delay between the digits that are send. This delay can be set in the Configuration Tool only.
