OK, I can force the tonearm down, but a light touch. Maybe it will loosend up and work, but I have another question. What is the purpose of the "turn" button? It appears to do nothing. Thanks

I just purchased a Beomaster 8000, Beocord 9000, and a Beogram 8002. The 8002 tonearm will not automatically lower when starting. It will start, stop, back and forward, but will not lower to play. Please help. Thank you.
