  • Re: Serivce Manual of a Beovision 3-32

The Service Manual for Beovision 3-32 (Type 880x) is available to download (look under "Products" on Main Beoworld Site) if you upgrade your membership to Silver or Gold. Regards, Neil.

  • Re: BeoVision 10 - an owner's view.

Peter, Right, got it now! However, increased transmitter power following DSO is proving to be a mixed blessing. The problem of receiving the "wrong" transmitter increases dramatically as service areas expand and overlap. (As many viewers in the Granada area are now finding-- Welsh channels appearing instead of English!) The best way to overcome

  • Re: BeoVision 10 - an owner's view.

Peter, I'm intrigued by your insistence on receiving DVB from Teeside (Bilsdale?) instead of Pontop Pike. Is this out of choice or by necessity? Thank you for a most interesting review. Regards, Neil.

  • Re: [Solved] Ouverture Doors Keep On Randomly Opening Up

This appears to be a rather disturbing trend where dealers no longer carry out repairs themselves, but sub-contract to someone else. Rather dissapointing given the prices charged! Neil.

  • Re: Loewe expands retail outlets

It would seem that Loewe have positioned themselves where B&O used to be, that is selling attractive products sufficiently superior to the mainstream to be able to command a premium, and still be affordable to a sizeable number of customers. B&O have long since abandoned this market, and I would suggest are suffering now as a consequence. We

  • Re: MX4002 service counters access

The MX4200 and MX8000 both have the service counter information as they are based on the later Beovision 1 chassis. Neil.

  • Re: Beosystem 2500 - It's Alive ! Please, Please Help Me !

Marshymarsh I don't think it is a timer problem with my machine as the fault appears entirely at random. To be fair to my dealer, I think he was trying to say that it would not be cost effective to spend a great deal of time trying to find an intermittent fault, with no guarantee of success, given the age of the unit and the high cost of B&O

  • Re: Beosystem 2500 - It's Alive ! Please, Please Help Me !

My Beosystem 2500 switches itself on and activates the cassette mechanism. The fault is intermittent but very annoying, often happening during the night. My local dealer informed me that they hadn't a "cat in hells chance" of finding the fault, so I resort to switching off the mains to the unit when not required. Neil.

  • Re: Avant 16:9 on TV?

My Mk3 Avant will switch to full screen 16:9 if a "letterbox" picture is detected using the analogue tuner. Films are occasionally shown in proper widescreen mode on analogue 4:3 transmissions, (and are marked as such in the Radio Times), and my Avant seems to eventually detect this and alters the ratio accordingly. The picture is then exactly
