• Re: Braindead Beomaster 5000

OK, after some further investigation I'm now pretty sure that to make this fancy doorstop something useable, I need either a complete working CPU module (PCB no. 4) or perhaps just the processor itself (4IC2, 8051). Please PM me with offers, if you have an otherwise trashed BM5000 lying around, or have parted out one sometime in the past... this

  • Re: Baked cross

I know it's hard to tell, but is it possible that someone has been there before you and changed the resistors? Except for the burnt one, the values would match if you take the woofer & midrage networks from the service manual, and the tweeter network from my drawing. I could see why it burned if it really was 1.0 instead of 15 ohms! Anyway,

  • Re: Baked cross

You mean your R2 is currently 6.8+8.2 ohms in series instead of a single 15 ohms? It will be fine to replace them with a single resistor if you are able to increase the power rating. The original split was probably done to divide the load between the two resistors, hence a lower wattage could do. You should try and find non-inductive resistors, though

  • Re: Baked cross

I was just about to post a link to my RL60.2 recap thread from January, but it seems to be another victim of the "pics gone after forum upgrade" problem. Anyway, I still have the pics and this is the actual crossover I found in mine: Except for the tweeter network, it was the same as in the service manual. These were apparently a very early

  • Re: Beovision 2502 - Scart problem

Just to make double sure, you did also release the shift before pressing text, didn't you? If yes, it may be that the shift button doesn't work in your remote. It doesn't transmit anything by itself, so it's pretty difficult to test without having a known working device to try it on or compare to. Glad you got the desired end result
Wow! Talk about more rich sound when using the Audigy 2 ZS board. I actually though there would be a difference, but that big. The normal Audigy 2 PCI board uses Cirrus Logic CS4382 and where it seems the notebook version make use of the Cirrus Logic CS4398 DAC instead.
I would expect this to be not so much a

Hi Jeff, and welcome from me as well! this forum is just fine for questions on repairs. Give it a little time, not all of our resident wizards have time to reply every day. The sliders, I'm afraid you'll have to start looking for a parts unit for them unless someone has them left. Except for the tuning slider, they should all be identical. The
I am assuming your statement "Seriously, it works for me too" means you are getting what I am getting ?
Yes, both in Firefox 3.0 and IE6. Seeing that it is JavaScript and uses the basic date and time functions, and thus is executed completely at the browser end, it will of course show potatos

Seriously, it works for me too - tried two different machines, two browsers and even my Nokia E90 (on which it doesn't display anything )
