  • Re: Digital tuner module in 7-40, something i never knew

Actually very impressed with my Sky+. Good quality picture and sound compared to analogue. Obviously using it with a CRT but very happy with it.

  • Re: Beosystem 5500 - Good Value?

On the 6500/7000, the line out is before the volume and tone controls - the circuit diagrams are on site.

  • Re: Beosystem 5500 - Good Value?

Just finished talking to the author of the capacitor removal wheeze! He says leave the other capacitors alone - he did have a look at this and they will make no difference and do serve a purpose. And don't play with the CD5500 as it is very good already! On the line out plugs, there are two. The line in and out which are normally linked are before

  • Re: AV7000....what exactly is it?

If you are in the UK, you don't want one! It would be used to attach a B&O system to a screen. It has the sound processor and all the speaker attachments. It means you can use your B&O sound system as a surround system with a video system which does not have the necessary attachments. The user and reference manuals are on site for silver

  • Re: MX7000, connection of vcr, satellite box and dvd

I think I understand - use V.Aux for AV2. Also consider getting an AV2 expander.

  • Re: AV7000....what exactly is it?

The AV7000 was brought out for the US market as there was not a B&O TV with a surround sound processor suitable for the market. The AV7000 provided a surround processor that also offered a central speaker amplifier. In addition, the AV7000 offered what was essentially Peripheral Unit Control as it has IR outputs which could control certain third

  • Re: beomaster 2200

The output of the iPod is quite low - you need to have it on full volume but even then it is relatively low. The 4400 has pots on the bottom to adjust the sensitivity but I can't remember seeing these on my 2200 when I had it. I'll ask around though!

  • Re: Used Lab 5 Speakers

I think you can update up to 2.61a - the most modern is 3.00a but this relies on you having the newest 5s (Serial number 21221146 or more ) which have a different volume chip. However no really significant updates - just sorting a few small issues and the software 2.61a fixes that. The very first ones have an issue with volume synchronisation with non

  • Re: Tuning - country issue

PAL - I is what you need in the UK. B/G is the European format! However you can change between these systems . With a Beolink 1000 select the channel you want - TV, 6 in this case. Press GO TO and you will have the tuning menu. Press SHIFT, 3 and you can then toggle between the different systems , B/G, I and L.

  • Re: Beolab 8000 speaker problem

nmartin771: Hello Graham, I just bought pre-owned BL8000 year 2000, and I'm wondering if this happened to me do you know where I can find tweeter in the UK ? I assume if you order from B&O it would be 250 gbp :) Thanks Actually B&O parts are quite cheap. The cost will be labour at the service centre. Most dealers used to have their own service
