  • Re: beomaster 7700 belt change

Welcome to Beoworld ! Beocenter 7700, I suppose. There are two screws under the large aluminum lid and two screws under the flip-up connector bay, then the whole right side swings up to vertical. A metal rod (service stand) is found near the mains transformer. Martin

  • Re: Beomaster 8000 static at 3.0 volume

The cap kit is available. Replacing the caps requires a couple of hours work as well as basic electronic skills and tools, soldering etc. The fault could be somewhere else, we can't blame the capacitors for all faults. As soundchoice70 suggests, make sure to rule out the source before attacking the Beomaster. 2 years for exchaging an IC ? That must

  • Re: Beovox Penta recap

The audiophile caps will make a difference, otherwise there would hardly be any point in mounting them, but the difference to the reasonably new electrolytic caps in your Penta's would be marginal compared to that of exchanging old ones. • Re: Older B&O speakers; concerns regarding

The woofer magnets tends to losen in transport though, freezing the coil and cone so pack with great care. The S45 with two-piece frontgrills will have foam rot if not already repaired. Personally I prefer the older (one-piece) models because of their compact

  • Re: Recapping Beovox 1200: how to open them up?

Oh yes, they can sometimes bind in the cabinets. You will have to insert something to gently lever it out. A spatula or wide screwdriver or both together will normally do, but do work gently. Martin

  • Re: Recapping Beovox 1200: how to open them up?

You will gain access to the innards of the Beovox 1200 by taking off the front grill (mounted with small nails) and then take out the woofer. You cannot get in from the back. Capacitor kits are available for most Beomaster and Beovox models, including the Beomaster 1200. The Beovox 1200 came in several different versions, both 2-way and 3-way, and I
