My thoughts too, though the bigger screen and no finger prints would be an advantage. The MOTS software will be the most interesting part for me though whether that is enough would be debatable. It doesn't really fit in with my present set up though as I am not sure how well it integrates with the BC2 - having two control surfaces would seem odd

Speaker link is really for those systems before Powerlink - the 5500 springs to mind, but you can attach the Penta 3 to a BM8000 - the impedance is such that it presents a load that reduces the power output to Line level. Agree with the A8s - have a few pairs of these and are superb for on the go. Bass light compared to headphones though.

Agree with Puncher. I have the entire B&O range of headphones but use some Grado RS-1s downstairs and Sennheiser HD600s in bed. The HD600s are in my experience slightly more to my taste and are a lot more comfortable. You can also use then lying on your side in bed which you cannot do with the Grados! To be frank, the B&O headphones are not

The 5500 is the better of the two - it also has lots and lots of connections which is very useful in this time of MP3 players and computers. Have a couple myself!

And to add, I would always have the 9500 which is better specified and also 2 way. In fact i bought a 9500 when new and have had one on and off ever since. A friend has it at present. Wonderful machine!

Price depends on condition - Lifestyle have one up for £725 which will be at the top end of prices paid - but will come with warranty that it works! I would suggest looking at around £500+. They will run Beolab 8000s as they have Powerlink sockets as detailed on the product page .

I would get an SMMC4 and see what you think against the MMC20EN. I think you will be pleasantly surprised. I have a SMMC20EN which is the best cartridge I have at present. Beats my MMC20CLs and MMC2s.

The tape deck will be the belts which are available from member Dillen. This is a superb music centre and the S55 a much under rated speaker. Whoever gets this will be very fortunate.
