I agree, a nice and classic radio that is a must in every collection. I know that some people like to spray contact cleaner etc. but I wouldn't recommend it. Hi and welcome to Beoworld ! The Beovox 2700 and 2702 grilles were originally glued on. No clips and any doublesided sticky stuff found here is not original. When you are done servicing them, you can glue the grilles back on using small amounts of contact glue, I believe it's called Evostick in the UK. I normally place a drop in each corner and

Hi Geoff, The trimmer should be 100 Ohms. I have some in stock if you need. That capacitor should be a Class X component. I don't know where to buy a new cap of this value but I may have a good used component in stock, I will have to check. Martin

Lubrication is my guess. Check that all joints, pivots, arms and levers operate as they should when you manually activate the solenoids, you can compare to the other deck. Martin

Yes, that looks strange, I never saw any of the ones shown there ... I only ever saw the version described here: http://www.beocentral.com/products/bvox3000-1 However, there seems to be a MKII that I never saw, that could be one of the two shown at Beoworld; http://www.beocentral.com/products/bvox3000-2 The other one shown at Beoworld could be the Beovox

Do be careful when you align and re-shim those RL140 woofers, tolerances are tight and any misalignment will have the coil former scraping on the magnet. Martin

They are rubber based and actually some of the better sounding Beovox speakers from that period. Wonderful bass response and still today it's hard to believe that they are merely 2-way speakers. The front is either clipped or velcro'ed on, I don't remember, but they come off quite easily. The drivers are mounted from the front. Martin
