  • Re: Beomaster 1500 NO SOUND OUTPUT please help

The switches on the front can bind, causing the muting circuit to activate if one switch is not correctly locked in or out. Check that all switches operate and will lock in and out. Tune in to where an FM station is expected to be found, causing the two red lamps to illuminate equally when you are spot on, if you travel the dial you can easily "feel"

  • Re: Beovox 3000, type 6220, woofer question

The paint - I can't say for sure how to remove it, it depends on the type of paint used. Nitromors could be the only way, take it outdoors, it's nasty stuff but it works. Then careful sanding, oil, wax or polish depending on the woodsort. Martin

  • Re: Beovox 3000, type 6220, woofer question

I suppose the white ones are Beovox 4000 (6217) then, and the Beovox 3000 are 6210 ? Martin

  • Re: Beomaster 1500 NO SOUND OUTPUT please help

Hi Sam, Welcome to Beoworld ! You have one of the slightly rarer Beomasters. A nice little receiver with a very pleasant sound (when working of course). If you'd let us know where you are located, we may be able to guide you to a repairer. There can be many reasons for it not to work. Aging capacitors is causing lots of problems (ready made kits

Great, but it would be interesting to know the type numbers too (6xxx). Martin

  • Re: BM8000 Shutdown noise

Geoff, This problem is caused by unstable running of the amplifiers as their capacitors discharge (unequally). A recap will probably correct most of the problem but it won't be completely silent everytime you disconnect the mains. A little thump sound from one or both speakers should be considered normal. The same applies to most other B&O receivers

  • Re: 9500 WONT TURN ON

Welcome to Beoworld ! I've had quite a few of these in for repairs lately. They seem to develop cracked solders in the power supply and voltage regulators areas, causing different functions to not work. Since this problem is of a mechanical and vibration sensitive nature I suppose this could easily get worse in transport and I wouldn't rush

  • Re: RL140 speakers

Welcome to Beoworld ! Please don't blame your visitor. It's quite safe to say that all RL140's that haven't had their surrounds fixed yet will need it by now. The four woofers foam surrounds can be replaced, not the easiest woofers to get right because of their tight tolerances but it can be done. I've done many but I'm in Denmark

  • Re: Loose wire on Beogram 8000

Welcome to Beoworld ! It's a shielded lead. The outer shielding is connected to ground inside the CPU casing so should just be left isolated at the free end. The center wire connects to the one-pin connector sitting at the extreme lower left board corner in your photo. Martin
